Then why exactly does adobe.com rank #1 SERP on Google for the keyword “click here”?

Help is on the way. Google has created a little search engine optimization report that is only 22 pages in length so it will only take you a few minutes to read but can make the difference for your online business.

This SEO report is easy to read, so I would print it out and read it over a few times, taking notes and adding them to your printout for future study. Writing things down as you learn helps the info go up your arm and into your brain.

The first two key factors Google discusses in this SEO report is the use of the TITLE tag and the DESCRIPTION tag.

Google has made report easy to follow as they have set it up into sections with each section being good practices and what to avoid.

What do you do when people try to access pages that are no longer on your site or they just plain type it in wrong? There is a small section on how to deal with this by using 404 custom pages and they have a link that will lead you to one of their pages that will help you further.

It was a bit funny when I followed the links to the 404 page help and couldn’t load the pages. I tried a number of times and then I clued into the fact that my network went offline on me. :)

One of the sections that caught my attention immediately was the section on Unique Content. It’s so easy to say the same things over and over sometimes if you feel that people aren’t getting what you’re saying. I have a lot of work do to in this area.

Using the best anchor text is vital if you want Google to show them in the search engine results page so no more ‘click here’ anchor text.
